Pottery Classes in East Brunswick, New Jersey
(14 Disbrow Court, East Brunswick, NJ 08816).
The classes will run continuously throughout the Summer and Fall. This is a beginner level class in hand building, but all levels are welcome. The class is six sessions; the first five sessions will be spent on building and the final session is for glazing. You can sign up at anytime, there is no longer a start date.
Classes will be Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM-9:00 PM. If you need to miss a class you can make it up at another session. The cost of the class is $225. This includes everything you will need to get started; all the firing, tools, glazes and clay. We usually do 2 projects in this time period.
This class will present a wide range of techniques to make functional or sculptural pottery. Creative expression will be encouraged. You can plan on having a good time while learning new skills with your neighbors. Pottery demonstrations will be primarily hand building, but I will provide instruction on the potters' wheel to those who are interested. I have only one wheel. Time on the wheel will have to be a take turns kind of thing. I will have an 8-person maximum for all classes. No students under 16 years of age please.
If you are interested in private lessons, either in hand building or wheel throwing, the cost will be $35.00 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per session.
